Let’s Explore the Cosmos together

Take your time to reflect on the creation of our Creator. His creation is flawless and leaves us mesmerized.

My connection to astronomy began long before I ever looked through a telescope. In my younger days, I was an enthusiastic mountaineer, spending countless nights on mountain tops where the sky felt close enough to touch. Under those vast, silent heavens — and even witnessing the northern lights with my own eyes — I developed a deep sense of awe for Allah’s creation.

When I eventually put my climbing boots to rest, that sense of wonder stayed with me. It led me to enrol in astronomy classes at the Royal Observatory Greenwich over 35 years ago. Since then, I have been an active member of the amateur astronomy community, continuing to learn, observe, and share the beauty of the cosmos.

Through my journey, I discovered something profound: during the height of Islamic civilisation, Muslim astronomers were the ones who taught the Western world about the stars, planetary motion, and celestial navigation. Their work was driven by a Qur’anic worldview — one that saw the heavens as signs pointing to the Creator.

Today, I am committed to reviving that spirit. My mission is to help Muslims rediscover the importance of contemplating Allah’s creation, as the Qur’an repeatedly invites us to do. By blending astronomy with Qur’anic reflection, I hope to inspire a deeper appreciation of the universe and a stronger connection to the One who fashioned it.
